In this way budgeting is a lot like health & fitness, it’s not that most people don’t know what to do, they just aren’t motivated to do it.
This is entirely understandable. Motivation in itself is a science.
I am now going to do something crazy , I will quote someone who I never even really liked until she said this and I only heard it 3rd hand, Michelle Briggs from the biggest loser was questioned about motivation for exercise and she apparently said “you just do it”, she said she did not wake up at 4am and want to exercise, she just did it and ultimately you are what you do. I think this is true of any motivation, you can read all the blogs(even this one), all the books, ask loads of people but ultimately there comes a point where you just have to do it.
Having said that there are a series of exercises you can do that I have noticed work for some people.
